11 Mädchen und einem Jungen wurde mit Fahrrädern geholfen. Sie alle leben mit ihren Familien in den Slums ( in Varanasi, Nordindien) und werden von unserer Pfarrei beim Schulbesuch unterstützt. Sie alle waren sehr froh, ein Fahrrad zu haben, damit sie unabhängig von irgend jemandem zur Schule fahren können.
Es gab auch noch 12 andere Mädchen ( in der Pfarrei Benipur, Varanasi), denen durch Ihre Spende ebenfalls geholfen wurde, ein drei Monate langes, arbeitsorientiertes Kurzzeitprogramm durchzuführen. Es dient ihnen, einen Job zu finden, anstatt arbeitslos zu Hause zu sitzen. Obwohl diese Mädchen vielleicht nicht viel verdienen werden, macht es dennoch einen Unterschied in ihrem Leben.
